Small Hours
An imagined three-work presentation explores rooms at the edge of evening. Windows hold cooler colours while lamps, curtains and tabletops retain small areas of warmth. The paintings use those contrasts to suggest presence without including a figure.
The proposed display gives each work a quiet stretch of wall, encouraging a slower movement from one scene to another. Repeated window shapes provide a loose structure, while changes in scale and colour keep the sequence open.
